Name of the Post: Cyber Crime Consultant (Software Support personnel)
Total No of Post: 08 (EIGHT) – one each for 8 Cyber Crime Police
Remuneration: Rs. 35000.00 (Rupees Thirty five thousand) only per month and enhancement of Rs.
1000.00 (One thousand) only per year subject to their satisfactory performance, attendance etc.
Educational Qualification:
1. B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics &
Instrumentation Engineering.
or
2. BCA/ B.Sc. with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience.
Desirable Skills:
I. Certificate in Digital Forensic by C-DAC or any other Government recognised training agency or
reputed institute.
II. Experience of Data Recovery / Analysis / Carving with any of the standard Cyber Forensic Tools and
working experience of forensic tools like Encase, FTK, Paraben, HelixDeft, Winhex, Win UFO, Internet
Evidence Finder (IEF), E-discovery, Autopsy etc.
III. Ability to make forensically sound images of digital media, i.e. SATA, IDE, Flash drive using imaging
software (such as FTK imager etc.) both software and hardware based write blocking devices.
IV. Experience in doing forensically sound images of Cellular Phone, exploitation and extracting reIevant
data using UFED Celebrite, XRY, Oxygen Forensics, Mobiledit, MPE+, Paraben or any other open source
tools.
V. Knowledge of different PC & Mobile Os like Windows, Linas, Mac OS, IOs, Android, Windows Mobile OS
andits file system.
VI. Knowledge of Network Forensics and any one tools like NeSA etc.
VII. Working knowledge of e-mall Investigation, Stenography, File / Folder / Partition / Drive Encryption.
VIII. Experience of wiping, verifying and validating media before and after conducting and examination.

2. Interested candidates must send email detailed resume in the specified format (available on
www.wbpolice.gov.in) to igpnbr-slg@policewb.gov.in or cybercrimenbr@gmail.com along with:
a. Recent Passport Size Photograph
b. Scanned signature
c. Scanned image of the following documents:
i. Copy of certificate/ mark sheet of educational qualifications.
ii. Copy of Birth certificate/ Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent as age proof.
iii. A copy of document as a proof for residential address (preferably Aadhar card)
3. After screening of the applications, eligible candidates would be intimated in due course for attending
the written question paper containing MCQs will be set and evaluated by the NIC / C-DAC / IT
Department member. The qualifying marks may be fixed by the Committee depending on the vacancy
to be filled and other requirements.
The candidates qualified after the written examination may be called for practical test, if required.
The qualifying candidates shall be called for an interview before the selection board for assessment.
The interview shall have a maximum of 15% weightage in the total assessment. A panel of selected
candidates in the order of merit shall be prepared which will be valid for 6 months from the last date of
Interview. However, appointment shall be issued only in the order of merit.
4. The candidates shortlisted for Interview will be intimated by E-mail only.
5. The engagement of the Software Support Personnel will be on contractual basis. The terms and
conditions of the engagement will be as per Government rules.
6. Last Date of Application is 06/03/2020.
No TA/DA shall be given while attending the test/interview.
